Long time no talk

Life has been crazy for us and we really haven't had a chance to update. Teresa is 4 years old now. It's hard to believe. It will be 2 years since her liver transplant on the 22nd of feb. This winter has been tough for colds, and one week she ran a high fever but finally got better. Her enzymes were up for about a month, but when she got better they finally started coming down. She is going to school and her speech has gotten much better. She loves having a little brother and he loves her. Jp will be one on the 17th. He had a hole in his heart that is closing, he had an emergencey hernia surgery and had a dilation in the kidney, that was fixed by opening the urethra. He is doing great. We sold our house to build, but ours still is not done so we are living with my brother. Teresa is a little confused but is doing well. Pray the weather breaks soon. This has been a hard winter. I hope all is going well for everyone. We still pray for all of you and thanks God for all of you during our time of need if it wasn't for you and God I am not sure where we would be. We go to Chicago on the 22nd for her checkup and anniversary and med changes hopefully it will be a smooth transition. Love you all, Tammy, Jim Teresa & JP

Teresa is doing good

Teresa's labs from Chicago came back normal so she is now completely off steriods. That is a miracle. She does not have to go get labs for 6 weeks. We are so happy. She is adjusting well to being a big sister. We got the results back from JP alpha test and as far as we can tell he is not a zz. We just have to find out if he is a carrier or not. We are very happy that things look good. We don't want to jinks it so pray with us everyone does fine. We love you all and I will try to keep you posted as much as I can. Love, Tammy, Jim Teresa& JP

Teresa's brother was born.

Teresa's baby brother was born on Feb 17, 2006. ! was 35 weeks and 3 days. I was having problems with my gallbladder and blood pressure was high and my amniotic fluid went down to a 8 and the baby was in distress so he was born c-section at 8:03 on the 17th. He is doing good he did have a heart defect and asd which they said he had a 25% chance of not having surgery but they said he could be around 3 to 6 before he needs repairs and also they would likely be able to use some kind of device through his leg without open heart. We are praying that it closes but if not hopefully he doesn't need to be opened up. He came home on the 22nd which was the 1 year anniversary for Teresa transplant and she is doing great and loves her new brother. She is glad to have him here.

Today Teresa is on her way to Chicago for her one year anniversary appointment

Teresa is on her way to Chicago with her dad and my cousin for her one year appointment since transplant. It will be a year on Feb 22. The time has went fast. I did not get to go to the appointment because I am back on bed rest. I only have three weeks until they take the baby if I can make it. I woke up in a lot of pain a few nights ago, and found out I need my gallbladder out as soon as the baby is born. My blood pressure was 200 over 112 and the doctor said I had to stay on bed rest or be in the hospital and I do not want to be away from my family amd Teresa so I am trying to be good. As long as I am resting my blood presssure stays lower. Also my liver enzymes are high and they are retested on Friday to see if it is toxic or just from my gallbladder. They are not sure. So pray for me and the baby. But enough about me please pray for Teresa and Jim and Erika for a safe trip the weather is a little nasty and I worry when I am not there. Her labs were good and they are doing a sonogram and taking her off some more meds. Thank God for our miracle baby. We love you all and hope to hear from you soon.

Teresa had her first dental visit today

Teresa had her first dental visit today and did a good job. She opend her mouth for the dentist to check her teeth and she let the dental assistant clean her teeth. She is becoming a big girl. She does have a couple teeth that have decayed and her gums are big but the dentist said her adult teeth should come in good when her meds decrease more. We go to Chicago in Feb for her checkup. A year since her transplant on Feb 22. Hard to believe. We are so blessed to have her. Last night she really has shown how she has grown and tonight. She has always been a little scared going to bed at night since transplant because we were always right beside her, so last night Jim laid with her for a while and got up and she was not asleep so she got up to get in our bed twice. The first time we told to be a big girl and go back to bed. She did for about 5 minutes. The second time we said be a big girl and go to bed and hold your doll. We said you go to school tommorrow so get some sleep We love you. She went straight to bed with no fuse or tears. We woke up about three and checked on her. There she holding her doll and fast asleep. It was so big of her and sweet. Our baby is not a baby anymore. Then tonight we said it is time for bed. She ran to her room and we checked on her 45 minutes later sound asleep with her doll to comfort her it's so sweet. It's good to know she is not as scared anymore that mommy and daddy will be there if she needs us. Thought I would share it was just so sweet. Also thought you would all like to be praying for us around March 9 or 10 This is when we will have the baby c-section. We love you all and appreciate your prayers.

Teresa had a great Christmas

It was so good to see Teresa have so much fun at Christmas. This was her first Christmas as a pretty healthy child and her last as a only child so she was extra spoiled. She finally got the fun of opening gifts, even ones that weren't hers. ha ha. Everytme someone brought more gifts in she was ready. And what was so cute she kept singing Happy Birthday Jesus. Now she sings it to everyone. We had lots of food fun and family time. We were so blessed. Even the baby got spoiled. Daddy made sure his stocking was full of goodies so mommy could eat to go to him. We hope you all had a great Holiday too. I was sad to take down the decorations. But we are ready for spring.
Just to share to we had to get labs done the Monday before New years, and Teresa was so brave I almost cried, being hormonal and all, Dad held her she stuck out her arm, shut her eyes and sang Jingle Bells until it was over. That's my brave girl. No tears except from me.
Well we go back to Chicago in Feb and if her labs continue to be good, which they were she will be off steriods. So please pray with us. Also she is having some gum and teeth problems, which can be a side effect of the rejection meds. So pray we can get that problem solved. She alway had pretty teeth. Pray they don't cause to much problems. You take the good and the bad. This is just minor so I know she will be okay. Please keep in touch, and continue to pray for our baby to be healthy, it would be great to have two playful kids.
Love, Tammy, Jim, Teresa & baby JP
